Dr. Nejatullah Siddiqi
A winner of the prestigious King Faisal International Prize for Islamic Studies and the Shah Waliullah Award in New Delhi (2003), Mohammad Nejatullah Siddiqi was born in India in 1931. He attended the Aligarh Muslim University, where he also served as Associate Professor of Economics and Professor of Islamic Studies. Dr. Siddiqi has also taught at the Centre for Research in Islamic Economics at the King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, and was a fellow at the Centre for Near Eastern Studies at the University of California in Los Angeles. This well-travelled academic was also a visiting scholar at the Islamic Research and Training Institute of the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah. He is a prolific author of a multitude of academic writings and several of his writings have been translated into Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Indonesian and Malaysian. He is associated with a number of academic journals as an editor or advisor, and has served on numerous committees and participated in a multitude of conferences in various parts of the world.
Moulana Khaled Saifullah Rahmani
Moulana Khaled Saifullah is a member of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, and the General Secretary of the Islamic Fiqh Academy in India. He is also the founding member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board. As an eminent Islamic scholar of Islamic jurisprudence, who commands a deep understanding of the Quran, Sunnah, Sharia and knowledge disciplines, Moulana guides the Muslim community with regard to a variety of modern issues. He has inherited a heritage of rich scholarly traditions from his family of reputed scholars, and in particular his father Moulana Zainul Abidain and grandfather Moulana Abdul Ahad Jalavi. Moulana delivers regular lectures and sermons to guide the community on topics of relevance. He has authored more than 50 books on a wide range of topics, and is a pioneer of more than 15 institutions of Islamic education, research and jurisprudence across India. This distinguished scholar is credited with introducing specialization and super-specialization in Islamic education.
